"I have come to despise Insurance Companies on principal! Because Insurance being a Government mandate which forces Contracts with Financial institutions, who are permitted to discriminate on less than clear grounds (but certainly where the Government cannot itself). And especially in more economically depressed regions of our States and Country I think it’s a hurdle most people cannot overcome, and keeps many stuck! And while I own a 2015 Hyundai Elantra which is NOT one susceptible to theft because it has all of the features present to prevent it, the premiums have gone to ridiculous heights (for those insurance companies that do insure them as many will NOT! Which leads to the Insurance Companies tripling rates on these vehicles alone (again for those that carry them). And while the consumer is harmed in perpetuity, one has to question why insurance Companies (who are financial institutions are allowed to a. Raise rates on consumers due to clear negligence on the part of the auto manufacturers! While the insurance companies are allowed to also sue those manufacturers for paying out claims on these vehicles and will likely succeed! And this too goes for the States as Attorneys General the nation over have a cause if Action! Yet again NONE of this benefits the Consumers nor does it allow for a vehicle NOT actually susceptible to higher theft rates to receive a fair quote AT ANY INSURANCE COMPANY! However unlike nearly ALL others Jason at least took the time to under that the model year and make may be the same but the engine build and features make it an altogether lower risk! And he did get me a better deal than ANY OTHER CARRIER EVEN THE ONE I HAD BEEN WITH FOR YEARS! In any event Insurance going from $120 a month to $345 or $403 for a carrier whom I had been with for years I won’t name names but let’s just say they thought my money wasn’t in good hands when I had it and made sure to take as much as they could without concern for the economy and the cost inflation has on people! Considering if I wished to pay $800 a month for the privilege of owning a vehicle I would have gone with a Mercedes or a Porsche NOT a Hyundai! In any event while I’m overpaying no matter where I go it’s still hundreds less than where I was and at least someone did the best they could to lower it! The Government Needs to step in on behalf of Consumers in these instances! Class actions should not be required when willful indifference is clear! And it should not be a choice for a family to have to go without the mandated insurance, food, or ever equate the two in any way! People need to travel to create opportunities, communities need dollars from outside to stimulate local businesses and. Not stagnate , and if people have to resort to public transportation in order to get out of those communities to find opportunities, the average time spent commuting to work is essentially requiring these people to lose an entire day of the week in transit every week! And Time is money! How would most of us fare if we lost a day a week traveling to work? You still have to work as much to survive so that just leaves you stuck in a crappy cycle! And if it’s because insurance has made the vehicle you own unaffordable, due to circumstances beyond your control, then those who are in control owe a duty to come up with a solution, and then they can ask for remuneration once the scope of the cost is known and the pepppe aren’t left to fend for themselves because they are forced by law, and then left out while all the big players quibbled over money between themselves especially the Government!"
